New job protections are in effect for the state’s 127,000 temporary workers after years of advocacy and a recent legislative battle. The "Temporary Workers’ Bill of Rights" will ensure that temporary workers are given basic information in their native language, like the name and location of the worksite, their pay rate and scheduled hours, among other items.
